HST-OUT434786 - Outage Post Mortem
Outage reason: This outage was caused by a faulty network cable that connected our physical equipment to the outside world. The outage was resolved after replacing the cable and moving to a new switch port.
Future prevention: This cable appeared to be an issue and has been replaced twice. As a proactive measure the network port has been changed as well. We will continue to monitor this.
Services Impacted: Full system outage, impacting internal services and all external customers.
